WALKER

The Panzerkampfwagen II was a German light tank with a 2cm gun as a main armament and a 7.92mm MG as secondary weapon. For protection, it had slightly sloped, side, front, and back armor between 15-35mm thick. In 1939 the Wehrmacht was able to field 1,100 Pz II for the invasion of Poland. Beginning in 1940, the Pz II was used less and less often as a front-line tank due to its limited armor and armament, but it was repurposed successfully as a reconnaissance tank. It stayed in service on the Eastern Front until the end of 1943.
